- Terminal.co is an analytics hub created for tokenized communities to share community progress with their members. Terminals focus on community-specific metrics, from community growth, resource allocation, treasury movement and governance activity.
What are Tokenized Communities?
- Tokenized Communities are self-managing communities that work toward the proliferation and development of a common meme or mission, using a token as its primary means of coordination. For more information, read our in-depth article here.
What is the Gini-score?
- The Gini-score measures relative inequality of a community’s token distribution. A Gini-score of 0 expresses perfect equality, where all members hold the same amount of tokens. A Gini-score of 1 expresses maximal inequality, where one wallet holds all tokens in circulation, and all others involved in the community hold none. A high Gini-score usually has heavy implication on community governance and decision making.
How is the Community Score calculated?
- Community Score is calculated through a formula that weights various metrics in the following (below) benchmarking against each other:
- Social (40%) - Twitter, Discord, Rate of Growth, etc.
- Governance (15%) - # of Proposals, % of Community involvement, etc.
- Treasury (15%) - % Native Token, % Stable Holdings, Runway etc.
- Tokenomics (20%) - Gini-Score, # of Holders, Rate of Growth, etc.
- Other (10%) - Age of DAO, # of Project/Initiative Releases, etc.
- We’ll be launching a community rankings page soon so stay tuned for more details!
I am a community admin – how can I add custom metrics to my Terminal?
- For custom Terminals, which can include off-chain metrics through our Discord bot or custom Google sheets/Notion integrations, reach out to me at ed@forefront.news or join our discord and message our core team. Communities who own our Forefront membership NFT get access to custom Terminals along with access to other tooling and services within our Product suite.
How is Estimated Runway calculated?
- Estimated Runway looks back 90 days on Treasury addresses, calculating the average net change on liquid holdings per month (eliminating outlier expenses) and applies this burn rate against remaining liquid holdings.
How do I submit a metric error?
- Apologies if we got something wrong! All recommendations for changes (whether they are metric errors or feature requests) can be submitted at https://terminal.frill.co/ or feel free to message the product team within our discord.
Why do only select communities have enhanced discord metrics?
- For enhanced Discord metrics, please add our Terminal bot to your server. Reach out to ed@forefront.news to get setup.
- We believe in building in public. Our roadmap is generated through community voting and can be found at https://terminal.frill.co/.
